Description
The Redondo Beach studio photographs consist of seven glass plate negatives and 36 prints from an unidentified photography studio, presumably in Redondo Beach, California, given the "Redondo" banner appearing in many of the images. All of the portraits show women posed within photo studio sets, with most of the sets portraying oceanside scenes. The women in front of the oceanside sets are usually wearing bathing suits and beachwear. The donor of the collection, Jerry Gildemeister, estimated that the photographs were taken circa the 1910s or 1920s, but there is no conclusive information on the photographs relating to their dates, creators, subjects, or studio.
