Ernest D. (Ernie) Glucksman (1902-1979) was an Austrian-born American writer, director, and producer known for his work in
comedy. A frequent producer of Jerry Lewis projects, Glucksman produced The Patsy (1964), The Nutty Professor (1963), and
The Errand Boy (1961). He was married to Judy Martin.

Ernest D. (Ernie) Glucksman (1902-1979) was an Austrian-born American writer, director, and producer known for his work in
comedy. This collection includes production files, film and television pitches, correspondence, screenplays, notes, and a
small amount of personal files.
Production files include various correspondence, proposed budgets, screenplays, and pitches for Glucksman's film, television,
and live performance projects. 2 vinyl records are present with sheet music in production files. Some of the materials pertain
to Glucksman's activities on behalf of Jerry Lewis in the 1960s, as well as production files for a number of Lewis's films
that were produced by Glucksman between 1959 and 1964. Television shows for which there is material (files, proposals, budgets,
correspondence, etc.) include: The Chevy Show (ca. 1955), Colgate Comedy Hour with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis (ca. 1955-1956),
the Jerry Lewis Show (ca. 1963), Love from A to Z, and the Kirk Douglas version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Also included
in the collection are television and casting files, Winters/Rosen Production files (1970s), and miscellaneous comedy files.
