Background
The University of San Diego School of Business was established as an undergraduate program in 1972. A year later, a graduate
component was added. In 1980 and 1981 respectively, the undergraduate and graduate schools of business received accreditation
from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). In 1984, with a $4.5 million grant from the Olin Foundation,
the School of Business moved into Olin Hall. In 1993, the School created the Ernest Hahn Endowed Chair of Real Estate Finance
to honor Ernest Hahn, the first lay chairman of the USD Board of Trustees.
