    Biography/Administrative History

    In 1894, the Coos Bay, Roseburg and Eastern Railroad and Navigation Company ran a 1.84 mile branch line from Beaver Hill Junction to the Beaver Hill Coal Mine. When Southern Pacific took over the Coos Bay, Roseburg and Eastern Railroad and Navigation Company in 1915, they acquired the Beaver Hill Coal Company.

    These are the financial records of the Beaver Hill Coal Company and include general ledger data, cash books, general managers' orders, a pay roll register, and vouchers.
