Historical note

The UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (CMRS) is a research center focusing on interdisciplinary and cross-cultural studies of Medieval and Renaissance periods. The CMRS sponsors events, hosts visiting professors and scholars, and publishes the journals Viator and Comitatus.

Scope and Content

Record Series 117 contains administrative files and publications generated by UCLA's Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies generated between 1970-1992. Files include administrative papers regarding reports, committees, staff, courses, publicity, and interaction with other institutions; documentation of conferences, symposiums, luncheons, lectures, and other events; correspondence; and publications and publication-related materials including administrative files and copies of the graduate student journal Comitatus, promotional booklets, faculty publications, and graduate student newsletters.
