Background
R. Clinton Griffin was a former Marine and photographer who took a particular interest in collecting records on the historic cemeteries in San Diego County. Beginning in 2004 he volunteered as the USS Midway Museum’s official photographer, documenting the ship’s restoration and conversion to a museum after it was relocated from North Island to the Navy Pier.
