White of Los Angeles, California, consisting of newspaper clippings from such papers as San Francisco Examiner and the Los Angeles Times and a couple of photographs from 1895-1900 regarding excavations and archaeological studies in Southern California. The pages are separate from the hard cover, whose interior displays a hand-drawn map of the Southern California coastline and islands.
