Abstract: Entries in this diary, a 1925 Daily
Reminder Book, start in 1936, when the author was a young girl. She initially wrote about
attending various social funct ions, going to church, and a part-time job. Other entries
cover single days, such as the one for Christmas Day, 1936, in which she details her
working-class family's holiday. Of particular interest is an 11-page section titled
"Reactions of a Defense Worker, Sept. 27, 1942," in which the author gives a firsthand
account of her job at the Chevrolet Motor and Axle Plant during World War II.
