This collection contains seven letters written by Ruth Stregevsky née Lehrer to Bob Sumner, Royal Air Force during the Second World War.

Ruth Rose Stregevsky née Lehrer (1921 - 2013) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her siblings included Ben Lehrer, Sarah Lehrer, and Jerry Lehrer. She attended Western Hills high school and according to the donor "attended a few acting classes at [the] University of Cincinnati." She married Sam Stregevsky in 1954 and together had three children: Barry Lehrer, Paul Lehrer, and Diane Yasgur née Lehrer.
