Record Series 14 contains the administrative files of the UCLA History Department's David K. Bjork. Files include correspondence to and from David K. Bjork, Waldemar Westergaard, Robert G. Sproul and Ernest C. Moore. Additionally, this collection contains budget recommendations; information about professors' salaries and sabbaticals; recommendations for promotions; and reports on activities of the History Department which were sent to UC President and UCLA provost Robert G. Sproul.

Folder 1 includes form letters sent to History majors, suggested reading lists of historical information and a mailing list for the History Guild of Southern California. Folder 2 includes correspondence to and from E.R. Hedrick and professors' salary information. Folder 3 contains a letter from Sproul to Bjork (dated 1939 Jun 22) informing him of his appointment as chairman of the History department for 1939 Jul 1-1940 Jun 30.
