Biography / Administrative History

Arlo David Poe graduated from Pomona College with the Class of 1923 and was an active student throughout his Pomona College career. Poe worked on The Student Life newspaper, was a part of the Metate yearbook staff, served as class secretary, and was a member of the Waiters' Union, Lyceum Debating Society, and Kappa Delta fraternity - serving as president of latter two organizations during his senior year. Arlo's wife Nadine Lucille (Merriam) Poe graduated from Pomona College in 1924 where she was an economics major, student athlete on the tennis and women's baseball teams, a Delta Lambda sorority member, and a part of the library staff. Arlo and Nadine's daughter Joan (Poe) Lowry also attended Pomona College, graduating in 1949.
