Biography/Administrative History
Callie E. Parsons (married name Paull) lived at 185 North 12th Street in San Jose during this time period. She is listed in
the City Directories as a teacher for the City of San Jose.
Scope and Content of Collection
The collection consists of letters composed towards the end of World War I from eight soldiers, including her uncle Willard
Parsons. Other correspondents are a friend nicknamed "Brother," Fritz Johnson, Henry Oberg, G. E. Solheim, Emil Stump, Grover
Talbot, and Ben Thesen. Letters detail life for the soldiers and refer to letters from Callie.
