    Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer was an American motion picture production company formed in 1924. The studio was located in Culver City, California.

    The Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer set rental and location weather records span the years circa 1940s-early 1970s and encompass 2 linear feet. The collection consists of correspondence related to the rental of sets and MGM's back lot number 3 by other studios and production companies, including Columbia, Harold Lloyd, Paramount, RKO, Republic, Hal Roach, Selznick, 20th Century-Fox, United Artists, Universal, and Warner Bros.
