Description
Frank Curran was mayor of San Diego from 1963 to 1971. At the end of his term he was embroiled in the “Yellow Cab” bribery
scandal. He was not convicted of a crime, but his hopes of running again for political office were lost. However, he continued
to be active in civic affairs. This collection was given to the Library by him in 1985 and consists primarily of documents
from his files related to Horton Plaza and the Community Concourse while he was head of the Central City Association. He
died in 1992.
