    Abstract: The collection contains 126 photos from the Satoru Nakamura's photo album from his time at the 442nd Regimental Combat Team training camp. There are also loose documents including Nakamura's discharge papers and photographs of WWII reunions. There is also a 442nd 1943 Album with annotations by Nakamura.

    The collection contains 126 photos from the Satoru Nakamura's photo album from his time at the 442nd Regimental Combat Team training camp. There are also loose documents including Nakamura's discharge papers and photographs of WWII reunions. There is also a 442nd 1943 Album with annotations by Nakamura.
    The photos are mostly black and white and show day to day life during Satoru Nakamura's traning experience with the 442nd Regimental Combat Team.

    Biographical / Historical

    Satoru Nakamura was born on September 22, 1916 in Hawaii. Satoru was a World War II veteran and former first sergeant of Company B of the following units, 370th Engineers, later redesignated as 1399th Construction Engineers (Schofield Barracks, Hawaii), 442nd Infantry Regiment, 171st Infantry Battalion and 100th Infantry Battalion of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. He passed away on October 26, 2011.
