The Leadership North County records consist of operational records related to Leadership North County (2001 and on) and Leadership
2000 (previous to 2001). Leadership 2000 affiliated with California State University San Marcos in 2001 and changed its name
at that time. 11 digital file folders that are reproductions of the physical records were also donated to the collection.
Background
Leadership North County is a comprehensive leadership program that fosters the growth of community leaders who will serve
as catalysts in building a stronger region. Outstanding communities are characterized by exceptional leaders who demonstrate
a thorough knowledge of the region in which they live and have clear visions for the future. Leadership North County aims
to impact the region's development by preparing an active network of exceptional leaders with diverse backgrounds. Leadership
North County is currently helmed by Scott Gross, the Associate Vice President, Industry Partnerships & Services of Planning
and Academic Resources at California State University San Marcos.
