Background
The San Francisco Artists' Union was established in 1868 to purchase and distribute works
of art to subscribers. The Union was founded by eighteen California artists, including
Samuel Marsden Brookes (manager), Charles Nahl, and William Keith.

United States. Permission to publish or reproduce is not required.
