Description
Bound subscription list for the San Francisco Artists' Union, dated 1868 December 5.
Background
The San Francisco Artists' Union was established in 1868 to purchase and distribute works of art to subscribers. The Union was founded by eighteen California artists, including Samuel Marsden Brookes (manager), Charles Nahl, and William Keith.
