Scope and content:

This small collection consists of thirty-eight programs from theaters in the United States, especially New York. Among these are the Metropolitan Opera House and Carnegie Hall. They chiefly come from the last decade of the nineteenth century into the first two decades of the twentieth century and document well the entertainment tastes of Americans at that time.
