) records contain the working files of “Gail Sondegaard,” the pseudonymous editor and publisher of TNT from 1993 to 2000.
TNT began as a publication called Rites of Passage, edited by Anne Ogborn; after two issues, Sondegaard took over and renamed
the newsletter.


Scope and Content of Collection
This diverse collection contains materials related to the newsletter’s publication, as well as a substantial sampling of Sondegaad’s
correspondence with readers, including a number of transgender prisoners. The newsletter materials include correspondence
with contributors, in-depth notes and drafts arranged by issue, interviews, unpublished submissions (including an interview
with Leslie Feinberg and an essay by Susan Stryker), and subject files (including a number of printouts from email lists and
