Processing Information
The collection arrived in 68 Bankers boxes and 1 other box in May 2019. Many of the boxes were badly damaged, so the collection
was rehoused in Paige boxes. Information that was written on the outside of the original boxes, including series names, was
recorded in ASpace. The box numbers are the ones written on the original boxes. They were probably put on randomly for shipping
purposes, with no inherent meaning, but, hey, we had to number them somehow. An additional 20 document boxes arrived in July.
Scope and Contents
The collection contains administrative records from the first thirty years of the organization's history. It includes directors'
files, financial records, personnel files, and grant documentation. There are also publications produced under the group's
auspices, as well as a variety of research material. Topics covered include labor, migration, education, youth and families,
and public health.
