Title:

[Summit of Rocky Mountains, looking west toward Gardner Point and Upper Kintla Lake, from boundary cairn near Cameron Lake and Forum Peak. Boundary carin with British flag, July 1861 - left half of panorama.]

Description:

View of a ridge and Gardner Point in what is now northern Montana, with Upper Kintla Lake in the right distance. Akamina Ridge (Alberta, Canada) would be just to the right, out of field. Kinnerly Peak is a faint outline on the horizon, just left of center. The visible ridge, ending in Gardner Point, is in front of Kinnerly Peak. This view forms an approximate two-part panorama when paired with item 30 of this collection.
