Title:
This monument was erected to Don Luis Antonio Arguello the 2nd Governor of Calif. under the Mexican rule. He held office from
1822 to 1825. He was the first Native of Calif. to be Governor. He was born on June 21st 1784 & died March 27th 1830. May
10th 1929 in Mission Dolores Cemetery.
