Creator:

Subject:
Dams -- California
Reservoirs -- California
Description:
The new Don Pedro Dam is visible on the lower right side of this photograph. Built a mile and a half downstream from the
old Don Pedro dam, it was planned to submerge the old dam in the enlarged reservoir created behind the new dam. The curved
top rim and a few feet of the face of the old dam remain visible in this photograph. Note the few buildings on either side
of the old Don Pedro. Snow capped mountain peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains are visible in the background.
