Description:
JACOB HANSEN RANCH HOME. When Jacob Hansen arrived in Dublin in 1897 from Denmark, he leased a parcel of land owned by Charles
Dougherty. He married Minnie Martin in 1903. Together they had six children; two died at a young age. By 1912, they had
saved up enough money to buy the 250-acre plot. The Hansens raised cattle, hay, and alfalfa for more than 60 years. From
left to right are Minnie Hansen, Alicia Doris, Mary Martin, Eleanor Hansen, Jacob, and George. (Courtesy Hansen family.)
