Oval portrait of George Hansen, "Father of Anaheim," civil engineer and surveyor, who arrived in Los Angeles in 1853, borrowed
$100 to purchase surveying equipment with which he subsequently surveyed much of Los Angeles County and laid out the townsite
of Anaheim; image shows three-quarter turned bust view of Mr. Hansen, with goatee, wearing a dark jacket and vest, white shirt
and dark bow-tie.
