Pinocchio, the Anaheim Public Library Mascot, being interviewed by (left to right) Elva Haskett, Mabel and Helen Tozer; the
Pinocchio doll was one of five hundred dolls made and distributed in 1929 by the San Francisco branch of the Macmillan publishing
house with its new edition of the classic "Adventures of Pinocchio" by C. Collodi; Anaheim's Pinocchio survived the 1933 earthquake
and the 1938 flood, although he lost a leg.
