Franklin H. Williams with Lloyd Greenwood and Isaac Woodard of Blinded Veterans Association.
Description:
Isaac Woodard, veteran of four years of service, is welcomed in the Blinded Veterans Association by its acting director, Lloyd
Greenwood. Woodard's eyes were gouged out by South Carolina troopers while he was on his way home just four hours after his
discard from the Army. Although only veterans blinded in the war are eligible to join the B.V.A., Greenwood considers Woodard's
injuries entitle him to equal membership.
