Full title:These two youngsters did not cross the plains in a covered wagon during the wild Indian warpath days, but they
are happy kids swinging in the modern hammock version of the Prairie schooner on the front veranda of the Tsunekichi Sasao
home near Sunnyvale, California. They are Delano Kirkish, whose parents operate a large department store in Sunnyvale, and
his new-made Nisei friend, Clark Yamasaki, recent arrival to California from Heart Mountain. While Clark had only been home
for a fortnight when the picture was snapped, the boys are already inseparable pals. Clark was brought home to Sunnyvale from
the Wyoming Center recently by his parents, George and Helene Yamasaki. The children are Pearl 10, Clark 8, Herbert 7, and
Eugene 7. They are housed with Tsunekichi Sasao and his daughter, Bessie, near Sunnyvale.<lb/> Photographer: Iwasaki, Hikaru<lb/>
