hooked to the supporting cable and pushed towards the opposite shore to make room for the following section. The bridge is
here shown nearing the enemy side of the stream. This unit, under the direction of Captain Nakada, 232nd engineers, can assemble
a pontoon bridge in a matter of minutes. The 442nd combat team at Camp Shelby is composed entirely of Americans of Japanese
descent who volunteered for services in the armed forces. This unit of approximately 8000 men is undergoing intensive training
in all branches of combat duty, and they are looking forward with eagerness to actual services at the front.<lb/> Photographer:
