P.O. Box K Strathmore California May 21, 1942 Dear Mrs. Nance: My father wrote to me today and said he got your letter,
and he said it will assist them a great deal. They say the weather is good up there, and the hills are almost green. They
say they have lots of fun up there, he said last week they had a big track meet up there, including 100 yd dashes and 400
yard relays, and apple eating races and many other things. They have regular baseball team of Japanese, and they see moving
picture every week. They have lots of good things to eat and he said my grandfather is getting fat. The high school boys
cannot go to school any more because it is in the restricted area. Sincerely, Shigeo Motoike
