Description:
Handwritten letter from Shigeo Motoike to "7th & 8th Grade Class", 1942 Mar 14.
235 Jackson Street Los Angeles Calif. March 14, 1942 To the 7th & 8th Grade Class: Thank you
very much for your letters I enjoyed reading it. I’m now getting little used to the town and the school too. I’m now getting
used to the arithmetic because at first I didn’t know anything about arithmetics. The only homework we have every single
day is the geography and it is no so hard. There is lots of people in the school and everybody buy there lunches because
it is only 5 cents, and we eat in the big auditorium, we are the last ones to go to the cafeteria so we have to run fast as
we can to get a seat. I’m on the third stair so everyday I have to was up and down the stairs. Well, I better stop
now because I gotta finish my homework now. Yours truly, Shigeo Motoike
