Diego de Borica en virtud de su superior Or[de]n del numero de naciones de Yndios gentiles q[u]e sitan las marjenes del Río Colorado desde el desemboque al mar del Golfo Californico hasta el terreno de que tiene conocim[ien]to al que subscrive segun el que adquirio en el t[iem]po q[u]e se mantubo destacado en aquel pais con las demas circunstancias q[u]e observo en aquellos naturales. 1797.

Copy of a report, Feb. 28, 1797, to the governor of California concerning the Indians of the Colorado River area. Based on his travels with Frs. Juan Diaz and Francisco Garces in 1779, to establish the ill-fated missions of La Purísima Concepción and San Pedro y San Pablo. Certified as a true copy of the one at the Presidio, Loreto, by José Joaquín de Arrillaga. Oct. 6, 1797. From the Cowan Collection.
