"Sotoyome Castle" (aka "Fitch's Castle") began as the adobe residence of Henry Fitch, grantee and owner of Rancho Sotoyome, situated along the Russian River near the present-day town of Healdsburg, in Sonoma County, Calif. Fitch's daughter married John N. Bailhache, who expanded the house in the late 1870s. The structure was destroyed by fire in 1912.
