Western Hills (originally named Memorial City) was a proposed cemetery project organized by Annie H. Darbee, on whose property in Lawndale, San Mateo County, the cemetery was to be developed. Darbee hired both Bernard Maybeck and Julia Morgan to plan and design the project. Their work went from 1939 to 1941.
