Abstract:
The collection includes a translation of a marriage certificate for Aaron Senderman, father-in-law of Simon Bachrach (who
was married in San Francisco in 1861); a resolution from the Young Men's Hebrew Association thanking Bachrach for his services
as secretary (1878); a resolution from the Melrose Business and Improvement Association in memory of Simon Bachrach (1916);
and a resolution from Congregation Shaari Zedeck in San Francisco thanking Bachrach for his words on the occasion of the congregation's
celebration of Moses Montefiore's centennial.

Simon Bachrach was born in Richmond, Virginia and settled in Oakland, California in the early 1880s. Before he died, he served
as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1908.
