Title:
[Stereograph views of California pertaining to sulfur mining, oil drilling and other subjects]
Abstract:
Amateur stereograph photographs -- chiefly depicting views and scenes in California, with a small number taken in New Mexico,
Arizona and Texas -- most if not all taken by the same unidentified photographer. Sulfur mining and oil drilling are referenced
in various captions, and many images include drilling structures and remote landscapes where "claims" are located. Many views
likely include the photographer's family members, and are located in the San Diego area, as is a scientific laboratory depicted
in a few views. A small number of unmounted views depict Yosemite Valley.
