of gold, a piece of petrified wood, and 9 other unidentified minerals from various counties in California's Mother Lode region
(Nevada, Calaveras, Mariposa, Tuolumne, Plumas, El Dorado, Butte, Shasta, Amador). In center of mounted sheet is a photographic
image of California state capitol building in Sacramento. Descriptive label includes names of counties constituting California's
gold country and statement on the value of minerals mined in this region in 1901. Issued for the Grand National Gathering
of the Knights of Pythias in San Francisco in 1902.
