Abstract:
Printed obituary of Lieutenant Horace Sargent Dunn, written by Mr. G. S. Hillard and appeared in the Boston Courier of May
28, states that his remains were committed to the grave on Saturday. It also mentions that Dunn was the son of James C. Dunn
and a student in the Sophomore class at Harvard University at the break of the war [American Civil War], who was impelled
to offer his services to his country by a sense of patriotic duty. He died of disease contracted while serving in the 22d
Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry at the age of twenty.
