The collection consists of various publications from Sacramento's Mosaic Law Congregation: annual books of remembrance (1979-1985);
directories of the congregation's members (1971; 1979-1984); a booklet for the celebration of the congregation's eightieth
anniversary (May 3, 1980); a program for a testimonial dinner for Cantor George Wald and his wife, Esther (November 11, 1984);
an undated program from a congregational sisterhood's theatrical production. The collection also has an incomplete run of
the congregation's newsletter, the Mosaic Law Scroll (1970-1991).

Sacramento's Mosaic Law Congregation was organized by seven families led by Moses Warhaftig in 1900. By 1980, it had gathered
nearly 500 families. Today it is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
