Abstract:

Includes snapshots and negatives of, presumably, Minoru Onishi and his friends, colleagues and/or family, as well as oversize panoramic photographs depicting a gathering at a Japanese cemetery in Los Angeles and a class portait of the Military Intelligence Language School. Also includes a leather potfolio embossed with a U.S.A. eagle and flag image, 1 folder of correspondence and Japanese business cards, and 1 oversize folder of Japanese manuscript prayer sheets.

Minoru Onishi was born in California of Japanese descent. After World War II he atttended the Military Intelligence Service Language School at Fort Snelling, Minnesota and later worked for the U.S. Department of Defense in Japan.
