Abstract:

Chiefly material related to the design and construction of St. Mary's Cathedral, San Francisco. Includes many photographs of the building and of design models, photographs of models by Enrico Manfrini for bronze doors, window design drawings by Seff Weidl, photographs of models for bronze work by Bozzetto, transparencies of window designs, etc. Also present are a small number of plans and sketches for residences (circa 1929-1930's?), and several drawings for the [St. Francis?] yacht club, San Francisco. Container contents -- AX box: St. Mary's Cathedral photographs of plans, models, interiors, exteriors, and a few construction photographs; C box: miscellaneous St. Mary's Cathedral material including stained glass images and photographs of models of Manfrini's doors, 3 photographs of 1 or 2 residences, charcoal drawings of several unidentified structures, perhaps the St. Francis Yacht Club and a large residence or country club, and 2 unidentified drawings that may be residential; D folder 1: presentation(?) drawings chiefly of 5 and 6 room homes, and 2 of the St. Francis(?) Yacht Club; D folder 2: photographs of design elements for St. Mary's Cathedral; Portfolio (LAN): color transparencies relating to St. Mary's Cathedral.
