Transferred from the Mary Jean Kennedy papers (BANC MSS 99/270c).
University of California at Berkeley anthropologist. Kennedy did her early fieldwork among the San Carlos Apache, the Karok,
the Yokuts, and the Kashaya Pomo. In the mid-1950s, she was one of the first American anthropologists to work in Pakistan,
and in the 1960s she worked among the Karamajong, a tribe in Uganda. In the late 1970s she worked among the Yurok.
