LAVDENT EAM IN PORTIS OPERA EJVS. Back of medal commemorates the original medal awarded for the International Competition
for the Phoebe Hearst Architectural Plan for the University of California; relief portraits of the original jury members (J.B.
Reinstein, Paul Wallott, J.L. Pascal, R. Norman Shaw, Walter Cook); Latin inscription: TROS TYRIVSVE MIHI NVLLO DISCRIMINE
AGETVR; and a relief rendering of the first prize drawing of the U.C. Berkeley campus by architect E. Benard; includes custom
case with printed text dated 1990, and a small sheet of descriptive text. 2) University of California, Berkeley: front of
medal includes this text as circular border, illustrated with a relief image of the Sather Tower (Campanile) with San Francisco
Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance; dated 2001; back of medal is blank; includes custom box and wooden stand.
