Abstract:

Letter "A los EspaƱoles del Nuevo Mexico," Fort Manuel, September 8, 1812 (2 p. A.L.S. 26 cm.), proposing to open a trade from his post on the Missouri. With this are two accounts with the U.S. government-a receipt signed by Lisa and Hiacinthe Eglis, witnessed by John C. Luttig, St. Louis, 1813, for property to be transported by Lisa; and account current with the U.S. Indian Department, 1814-1815, covering expenditures to destroy the British influence among the Indian nations on the Missouri.
