Contains photographs of and newspaper clippings about Rabbi Lazowick; copies of letters that Lazowick wrote and received; a copy of a sermon he wrote and delivered about Israel (5 Oct. 1948); programs for various events at which Lazowick spoke; certificates and resolutions given in honor or recognition of him; and an issue of the "Reno Israelite" that has a short article about him (Apr. 1973).

Ordained a rabbi by the Jewish Theological Seminary of New York, in 1924. He first served as a rabbi in Chicago, Ill., at congregations Shaare Zedek and B'nai Jacob. Then, he started serving a number of congregations in the west: Congregation Beth Jacob in Fresno, Calif. (1954-1959); the communities of Chula Vista, Calif., and Scottsdale, Ariz., Temple Har Zion in Sepulveda, Calif.; Temple Beth El in Santa Cruz, Calif.; and Congregation Emanu-El in Reno, Nev. (1971-1976). He served as President of the Chicago Board of Rabbis and of the Santa Cruz Ministers Association. In 1974, a doctor of divinity degree was conferred on him. He died on 4 June 1994.
