Photographs by Watkins show Mission San Jose (copied by Watkins ca. 1870's, from a daguerreotype of 1853-54), a "photomicrograph"
of a flea, the Central Pacific ferry boat "Solano" crossing the Carquinez straits (from Watkins' New Boudoir Series #B3793),
and the steamer "State of California" in San Francisco (New Boudoir Series #B245.) Other photographs show the steamer "City
of Topeka" at the Sitka (Alaska) wharf, the steamer "Corona" leaving Redondo, and a view of Mount Rainier in Washington.
