Note:

George E. Outland was U.S. Representative from the Eleventh District of California from January 1943 to January 1947, which included Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Monterey Counties. Outland held this office during the period of Japanese evacuation and internment following the outbreak of World War II, a topic his constituents, largely being from farming regions that had been heavily populated by Japanese, were particularly concerned about.
