Note:
Ezio Mario Paolini was born June 20, 1920, in Pieve a Nievole, Lucca, Italy, and emigrated with his family to San Francisco
forty days later.At the age of eight, he moved back to Italy for health reasons, returning to San Francisco in 1937. Paolini
graduated from the University of San Francisco ROTC program in 1942 and was commissioned an officer in the U. S. Army. He
subsequently participated in the Normandy invasion, and numerous campaigns from France into Germany until the end of World
War II, and remained in the Army Reserve until 1972. Paolini was admitted to the California State Bar in 1948, practiced in
San Francisco, was active in several soccer associations, and was a long time member of the Olympic Club.
