Mark Wooster gold rush letters, 1854

Abstract:

Two letters sent from Mark Wooster in Sonoma, California, to friends back in Connecticut. The letter of July 7th, 1854 is addressed to F.W. Smith in Humphreysville. The July 27th letter has no address but the salutation reads "Friend Burton". There are also five letters sent to Charles E. Grover of Gloucester MA during 1850-55, fifteen letters sent to Albert Conro in Keesville, NY during 1851-52, and another four miscellaneous letters from 1850-53.
