Abstract:

Photographs show views related to the Spanish Civil War: buildings, people, streets, rubble, children, first aid, ambulances, signs, soldiers, refugees, schools, and other images of daily life during the war. Most were taken in or near Sagunto, Spain. Negatives (and contact sheets), taken by Henry Arian, show revolutionary scenes in Mexico in 1929 (presumably Cristero uprisings) and views of the Spanish Civil War from 1937.
